Azerbaijani deputy minister calls for bold private sector approach to AI application

The First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Elnur Aliyev, highlighted the need for increased investments in digital solutions and innovative technologies across both the state and private sectors, Report informs.

Speaking at the conference titled "Digitalization and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Workplaces," Aliyev underscored that this is not just technological modernization, but also key tools for creating new jobs, increasing productivity, and sustainable development:

"In the face of the challenges ahead, a competitive economy can only thrive through agile adaptation to technology and a proactive stance toward innovation," he stated. Addressing private sector representatives, Aliyev urged them to embrace the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) applications with courage to boost service levels and operational efficiency. "As a government, we are fully ready to listen to and work together on incentive initiatives that will encourage you in this direction," he added.

Aliyev also emphasized that both the public and private sectors should combine and further strengthen their efforts in improving skills (upskilling), acquiring new skills (reskilling), and promoting lifelong learning: "This approach will give a significant impetus to the formation of our country's sustainable and flexible economy based on new realities."
