“With the responsible behaviour of people, we can get out of the acute phase of the pandemic this year,” said WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge, Report informs, citing TASS.
“In any case, personal responsibility is essential. If people who feel unwell or have a high temperature stay quarantined at home, then we can all get out of the acute phase,” Kluge said.
According to him, it does not mean that the virus won’t come back: “There will be different strains, but we have to learn to live with the virus so that if a new wave of infection occurs, we should immediately take our respirators out of the closet and act in accordance with public health measures,” the WHO official added.
