UK National Health Service reveals how to detect cancer by voice

It is possible to determine the oncological disease of the oral cavity by a number of symptoms, but it is necessary to pay attention to the change in voice, Report informs referring to the Daily Express.

Mouth cancer is a general term for cancer in this area of the body. Depending on which part of the mouth the cancer is in will depend on its designation. The UK National Health Service says mouth cancer “may be on the surface of the tongue, the inside of the cheeks, the roof of the mouth, the lips or gums."

Despite this, there are a number of symptoms to look out for indicating something is wrong.

A change in voice is one of those symptoms.

Other symptoms include pain or difficulty swallowing, unintentional weight loss, bleeding or numbness in the mouth, one or more teeth becoming loose for no obvious reason, difficulty moving the jaw, red or white patches on the lining of the mouth.

While spotting either of these may spark fear and anxiety, the NHS does provide some reassurance.
