"Unfortunately, the information provided by some doctors is wide of the mark. It was announced that the Delta strain had been identified and was dominant,” Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of the Medical Territorial Units Management Unit (TABIB), said at a briefing of the Operations Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to her, the opinions that the Delta strain could not be diagnosed in the country are wrong: "We have all the opportunities in this regard."
Yaqut Garayeva said the disease spread among children is a seasonal disease: “Symptoms have always existed. Respiratory viral infections play a role here. If children have a coronavirus, it can be detected through tests.”
