Capital Baku accounts for 53.4% of all cases in the country, Report informs.
Absheron (15.8%), Ganja-Gazakh region (9.4%), Aran (7.8%), Lankaran (6.1%), Guba-Khachmaz (1.7%), Shaki-Zagatala (1.4%), Daghlig Shirvan (1.4%) Yukhari Karabakh (1.2%) regions and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (0.03%) follow the list.
As for the districts of Baku, the highest rates are recorded in Binagadi (12.9%), followed by Yasamal (12.6%), Khatai (11.9%), Sabunchu (11.8%), Nasimi (10.7%), Surakhani (9 %), Narimanov (8.6%), Nizami (8.1%), Garadagh (5.5%), Sabail (4.5%), Khazar (4.1%), and Pirallahi (0,3%).
Moreover, the virus has been detected in 1.6% of foreigners who visited the country.
So far, Azerbaijan has 16,424 confirmed cases and 198 related deaths. The country’s recoveries stand at 9,026, the treatment of 7,200 people is underway. A total of 468,967 coronavirus tests have been conducted across the country.
The government imposed strict quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron, Ganja, Yevlakh, Jalilabad, Lankaran and Masalli cities and Absheron region from June 21 to July 5. People are allowed to leave their places of residence only upon permission by sending a text message.
