Azerbaijan is taking the necessary measures to improve the mental health of various population groups and increase awareness in this area, Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva said, according to Report.
According to the information, she said the Ombudsman Institute constantly monitors measures, programs and projects implemented by relevant government bodies in this direction.
"I think that, based on the collected data, it would be right to revise the National Strategy in the field of mental health. Among the most important issues, it would be necessary to note the provision of specialized medical care, including psychological assistance, to the participants of the Patriotic War. This issue is also in the focus of attention of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan," she said.
