Number of HIV patients registered in Azerbaijan announced

The number of HIV patients registered in Azerbaijan is 9,258, Gunash Jafarova, deputy director of the Republican AIDS Center of the Ministry of Health, said, Report informs.

According ot her, 69.5% of those persons are men, and the rest are women: "Compared to other countries of the region, the rate of HIV infection in Azerbaijan is at the lowest level. In addition, all pregnant women registered at the center had healthy babies."
