Expert: Delta Strain may become dominant globally

New Delta Strain of COVID may become dominant and spread to many countries and regions of the world, employee of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention Feng Zijian said on air of CCTV, Report informs referring to TASS.
He noted that the increased infectivity of this strain contributes to the survival of the virus and its further spread at an increasingly rapid pace.
Earlier this month, several cases of Delta Strain were identified in Shenzhen city in China’s Guangdong province.
Identified initially in India, the Delta Strain is now present in more than 85 countries, according to WHO.
