COVID infection rate drops below 10% in Azerbaijan since April

People are still dying in Azerbaijan due to COVID-19 despite the decline in the incidence, said Yagut Garayeva, head of the Prevention and Disease Control Department of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), Report informs.
Garayeva made the remark at today's briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The official noted that the infection rate has dropped below 10% since April.
"There are more cases of infection among women. During the year, there were no significant changes between age groups. The infection is more common among people aged 30 to 69 years old,” she said.
