Azerbaijan starts applying AstraZeneca vaccine

From May 3, Azerbaijan begins using the Vaxzevria vaccine produced by the University of Oxford (AstraZeneca manufacturer name) for vaccination against COVID-19 in the country (at the preliminary stage for people aged 60 and over), Report informs.
Vaxzevria vaccines will be used in the city of Baku and six regions - Lankaran, Sheki, Ganja, Mingachevir, Absheron and Sumgait.
The 84,000 doses of Vaxzevria vaccines delivered to Azerbaijan through the COVAX platform increase the possibility of choice for citizens and at the same time enhance the availability of vaccines for the population.
The Vaxzevria vaccine, developed by the Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca, was approved by the World Health Organization.
