Ziyafat Asgarov: Russians' choice will lead to further development of Russia-Azerbaijan ties

Moscow. 19 March. REPORT.AZ/ "Congratulations to the Russian people on successful elections. I believe that the choice made by Russians will lead to the prosperity of Russia, as well as the successful development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.”

Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ziyafat Asgarov told the Russian bureau of Report News Agency.

According to him, the elections were held in a democratic and competitive environment, there were no serious violations.

He noted that most of all in the last elections he liked innovations, in particular, the possibility of electronic voting.

"In general, elections are internal affair of each state. Legislation both in Azerbaijan and in Russia have their own specifics. Despite this, as lawmakers we are striving to take advantage of positive world experience for domestic needs”, vice-speaker said.

According to him, he was preparing for the Russian elections, studying Russian legislation.

"Technological innovations that took place here will be announced  as legislative initiatives and at the meetings of Milli Majlis, they will be reported to the CEC of Azerbaijan. Let's see how these innovations will work in our realities”, he said.
