Verkhovna Rada deputy: Ukraine understands well pain, fair anger of Azerbaijan

Co-chairman of the group on interparliamentary relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, Verkhovna Rada deputy Volodymyr Kreidenko has expressed solidarity with the Azerbaijani people in connection with the incident of cruel treatment of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg.

Kreidenko told Report that Ukraine, which has been fighting against Russian aggression for many years, understands well the pain and fair anger of Azerbaijan.

"I strongly condemn any form of violence, discrimination and violation of the rights of Azerbaijanis in Russia. Such actions are unacceptable in the civilized world and grossly contradict the norms of international law. These repressions are further proof that Russia and the law are incompatible. For the Kremlin regime, the lives of other peoples have no value. Russia has long used people as a resource for imperial goals, humiliating their dignity. In such a situation, it is especially important to strengthen the ties between our peoples. Ukraine, which defends not only its freedom every day, but also the security of the entire democratic world, hopes for the solidarity of its partners - including the Azerbaijani people, who have bitter experience in the fight against injustice and external pressure," Kreidenko emphasized.

The deputy added that today, strengthening humanitarian support for Ukraine from Azerbaijan is more relevant than ever. "We are talking about assistance to the affected families, the supply of necessary goods, medicines, generators, as well as participation in the restoration of vital infrastructure. Such assistance will not only be a practical contribution to the common victory, but also a sincere manifestation of brotherhood and strategic partnership between our countries. In the fight against totalitarianism, we need joint actions and unity. Now is not the time to talk about solidarity - it is time to act. We highly appreciate every gesture of support and are confident that Azerbaijan is with us on the side of truth, dignity and freedom. I am confident that the Azerbaijani people will pass these tests with dignity, and cooperation between our states will be further strengthened in the protection of common values in the region and the world," Kreidenko said.
