US envoy to Azerbaijan: We’re committed to lasting peace in region

Azerbaijan and the US will celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said, Report informs.

“We have accomplished a lot in many areas. We’re committed to the lasting peace in the region,” he said.

“We have supported the diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy in many areas: energy, tourism, etc. We have long security cooperation,” he added.

The ambassador also noted the great experience in cooperation in education sector.

"We work with developing the private sector, agriculture, agro tourism, gender equality and others," he added. "There's now opportunity to help support the successful return by internally displaced people of Azerbaijan."
