UN Under-Secretary-General: Work must be done to fix the fractured world

Work must be done to fix the fractured world, Guy Ryder, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Policy, said at the 3rd panel session of the 11th Global Baku Forum on “Fixing the Fractured World” held in Baku, Report informs.

He believes that solutions to overcome the upcoming challenges should be found: "We must think about these situations in the world and increase efficiency. We must take steps for the world by thinking about Gaza, Ukraine, and climate change."

The UN official noted that there are 5 proposals related to these issues: "First, stable finances must be ensured, peace and tranquility must be established in the world. Also, cyber security should be considered. Technology and innovation should be encouraged and distributed equally to humanity. This equality must go hand in hand with the rights and freedoms of people. Mechanisms related to youth should be developed. Conditions should be created for them to be heard."
