UAE representative: New platform will strengthen role of Global South countries in addressing modern challenges

The newly established NGO platform for Global South countries in Azerbaijan will strengthen the role of these nations in tackling contemporary challenges, Ajaj Rahaf, head of the UAE-based organization Women in Renewable Energy (UAE WiRE), said during a panel discussion at the inaugural conference of the Global South NGO Platform in Baku.

Report quotes Rahaf as saying this platform will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing cooperation and formulating a unified position in the region.

"It will create conditions for effective collaboration among NGOs, fostering the exchange of experiences and enabling Global South countries to take a leading role in addressing global challenges," she emphasized.
