Trilateral working group of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia resumes work

A trilateral working group consisting of the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia has resumed its work, Report informs, citing the website of the Russian government.

The next meeting in Moscow was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, his Armenian counterpart Mher Grigoryan and Deputy PM of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.

"At the meeting in Moscow on August 17, the sides discussed the prospects for the restoration of transport communications in the South Caucasus region and the implementation of the Declaration signed by the President of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and the President of Russia on January 11, 2021," the website said.

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said in June that the working group would continue its work after the formation of a new government in Armenia.

Following the meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia in Moscow on January 11, it was decided to establish a Tripartite Working Group consisting of Deputy Prime Ministers.
