Slutsky: Azerbaijan's victory in 44-day war - triumph of historical truth

Azerbaijan is Russia's most reliable strategic partner in the entire post-Soviet space, head of the State Duma committee on international affairs Leonid Slutsky said at a Moscow meeting of the chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade with diaspora representatives.

The head of the State Duma committee noted that Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day war marked the triumph of the historical truth, and the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, played a paramount role in it:

"Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was moving step by step to the present day to fulfill his father's promise. Historical truth has triumphed. Ilham Heydarovich entered the history of his people, as well as the world history of conflicts resolution."
