Russian MFA: All controversial issues should be resolved only by peaceful means

All of Russia’s efforts to reconcile Azerbaijan and Armenia are in line with the spirit of special allied relations with both Baku and Yerevan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at the briefing, Report informs.

The spokesperson also noted that Russia always calls on the parties to show restraint towards each other.

"As for the possible increase in tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, we regularly call on Yerevan and Baku to exercise restraint and avoid any actions that could deteriorate the situation. All contentious issues should be resolved exclusively by peaceful, political, and diplomatic means," Zakharova stated.
