Russian Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires summoned to Foreign Ministry over attacks on Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg

On June 28, Pyotr Volokovykh, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Federation’s Embassy in Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) regarding attacks on Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg, Russia, Report informs.
A strong protest was lodged with the Russian side regarding raids conducted by Russian security forces on June 27 at residences of Azerbaijanis. These raids resulted in the brutal killing of two Azerbaijanis, severe injuries to several others, and the detention of nine individuals.
The expectation for a thorough investigation into the incident and the prompt prosecution of all those responsible was brought to the attention of the Russian side.
