Armenia helps Russia to circumvent EU sanctions, as evidenced by the sharp increase in exports of products from EU countries to Armenia since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Robin Brooks, former Chief FX Strategist at Goldman Sachs and Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund said in a post on the social network X.
"You have to wonder what's going on in the EU. Putin's invasion of Ukraine is a big threat to everything the EU stands for. But then there many examples like this: EU exports to Armenia up 200% since the invasion. This stuff goes to Russia and helps Putin. What is Brussels doing?" he said.
