Representatives of leading Moroccan media informed about preparations for elections in Azerbaijan

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco Nazim Samadov spoke to the leaders and representatives of such media as Le Matin, L’Opinion, Al Bayane, La Vie Eco, TelQuel, Le Desk, the official state news agency of Morocco, Maghreb Arab Presse about the preparations, Report informs citing the embassy.

The ambassador noted that for the first time in the history of independent Azerbaijan, after the restoration of the territorial integrity of the country, elections will be held throughout its territory.

The meeting participants were informed about the history of Azerbaijan's independence, domestic and foreign policies, the current situation in the region, the peace process after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from the Armenian occupation, the work carried out in these territories, as well as the current state and prospects of Azerbaijani-Moroccan relations.

In turn, representatives of the Moroccan media expressed interest in getting to know Azerbaijan more closely and noted that such meetings are important in obtaining objective information about the history and the culture of Azerbaijan, political and economic relations, as well as geopolitical realities in the region.
