"As for Zangazur, I want to remind you of my speech at the Nakhchivan summit. I said then that in 1920, the Soviet government broke the geographical connection of the Turkic world by tearing Zangazur away from Azerbaijan and giving it to Armenia, and anyone can see it by looking at a map," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his address to the VIII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking Countries in Istanbul on November 12, Report says.
"Today, we are restoring this geography. With the implementation of transport and communication projects, we are re-closing and unifying this geography, and I hope that we will succeed in this," the president said.
