President Aliyev: Situation with COVID-19 is under control in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, from the very beginning of the pandemic, took very active steps to fight COVID-19 both domestically and internationally, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the 8th Baku Global Forum, Report informs.
According to the head of state, Azerbaijan was one of the first in the region to begin vaccination against COVID-19, and today, more than 60% of the population has already been vaccinated.
“We are very happy to see that our population is very responsible,” the president added.
“Now, we don’t have a lockdown. The situation is under control. The only restriction is we have to wear masks in the buildings. Hopefully, we will be able to keep the situation under control,” the head of state said.
