Novruz holiday celebrated in Klaipeda

The Novruz holiday has been celebrated in the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda.

According to Report’s special correspondent in Lithuania, at the festive event held in the hall of the National Cultural Center, special attention was drawn to the main characters of the holiday - Kosa (beardless) and Kechal (bald-headed). National dances were performed, Azerbaijani dishes and sweets were offered to the guests.

The event, organized by Chairman of the Azerbaijani society Azeris Aliaga Mammadov, was attended by representatives of the Jewish, Tatar, Ukrainian, German communities, as well as guests from Latvia.

Mayor of Klaipeda Vytautas Grubliauskas congratulated the Azeris society on Novruz holiday.
