Minister: Green Port concept implemented within OSCE framework, aims to foster connectivity

The Green Port concept is one of the projects implemented within the framework of the OSCE and serves the purpose of establishing connections, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu.

Report quotes Bayramov as saying efforts are underway to transform the Baku Port—located at a strategic crossroads between Europe and Asia, as well as at the intersection of major markets such as China, Türkiye, Iran, and Russia—into a leading logistics and trade hub of Eurasia.

"Within this framework, work is also being carried out to implement the Green Port concept. The Baku Trade Port holds special importance today. In the coming years, the port's capacity will be increased from 15 million to 25 million tons," he emphasized.
