MFA: Armenia's provocative actions impede normalization process

Armenia's provocative actions have hindered the normalization process in the period following the end of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov stated during the 50th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers held in Yaounde, Cameroon, Report informs.

Mammadov emphasized that Azerbaijan is actively working towards establishing peace and interstate relations that will ensure lasting stability in the region and pave the way for full-fledged regional normalization and cooperation. He noted, "The end of the armed conflict in 2020 has created a unique opportunity for both countries to eliminate the consequences of decades-long hostility and establish good-neighborly relations."

The deputy foreign minister also reaffirmed Azerbaijan's full commitment to the normalization process it initiated and proposed to Armenia.
