A new agreement between the European Union and Azerbaijan could be signed this year, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference following a meeting with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, Report informs.
According to the foreign minister, the signing of the agreement was somewhat delayed due to the pandemic. "We believe that all open issues will be resolved and there is a possibility of signing the agreement in 2022," Bayramov added.
According to the minister, the development of existing dialogues in a number of areas will allow us to further expand the economic ties between Azerbaijan and the EU.
"Today the EU is our largest economic partner. Our relations are developing, regular discussions are underway," Jeyhun Bayramov said.
