Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, spoke about promising areas of cooperation between the parties.
According to the ambassador, Brussels pays attention to the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the "green economy," small business, regional development, education, and health care.
"We see Azerbaijan as our partner, and we will continue to work on such programs," he said, adding that his term in office in Azerbaijan has ended, and he is confident that relations between the country and the EU will continue to develop.
"In September 2017, two weeks after my arrival in Azerbaijan, I visited Sheki. I had a good impression at that time, and we came here a lot. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we lost a year and a half, and it was impossible to organize another trip to Sheki. And now I am happy to see that in Sheki, Zagatala, Balakan, and other cities, many ordinary Azerbaijanis are engaged in small business and present these beautiful products to tourists. The programs offered by the EU are for all people, for all regions, without any restrictions or exceptions. This is done to achieve sustainable development in Azerbaijan," the diplomat said.
