“I once again congratulate our dear Azerbaijan for the historical success achieved in the anti-terror measures,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists on his return from an official visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.
He said Türkiye is delighted to take its cooperation with Azerbaijan one step further with new projects: “During our meeting with my brother Mr. Ilham Aliyev, we had the opportunity to discuss many bilateral and regional issues. We particularly emphasized the recent situation in Karabakh and once again declared our strong support for the rightful cause of Azerbaijan. I once again congratulate our dear Azerbaijan for the historical success achieved in the anti-terror measures. May God have mercy on our martyrs, I pray for the healing of our wounded. The Azerbaijani Army is uncompromising towards terrorists and very kind towards civilians.”
“The great difference between what happened during the occupation of Karabakh 30 years ago and what happened after the liberation of the occupied lands is already etched in memories. I congratulate our Azerbaijani brothers for their humane and honest attitude towards civilians after the anti-terror measures. As Türkiye, we stood by Azerbaijan in all processes. I strongly emphasized our support in my address to the UN General Assembly last week. As a result of the anti-terror measures, Azerbaijan's sovereignty over the entire Karabakh was strengthened. More importantly, after the 44-day War, a new window of opportunity has opened for the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the region. Our intention to appreciate this opportunity is known to everyone,” Erdogan said.
