ECO Green Energy Center to start operating in Azerbaijan soon

As part of participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a meeting was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov praised the results of the last ECO summit in Ashgabat.

The minister stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the organization and that two specialized organizations operate in the country. The importance of establishing the ECO Green Energy Center in Azerbaijan and, in this regard, the signing of the charter of the center by the member states and the launch of the center in the near future was emphasized.

Noting the contribution of Azerbaijan to the ECO, Khusrav Noziri highly appreciated the dispatch of Azerbaijani diplomats to the ECO Secretariat. He also stressed that energy and economic ties are the main issues on the agenda of the ECO, and noted the importance of Azerbaijan’s role in these areas.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
