The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Azerbaijan will be related to financial issues. If COP28 was all about fundraising, COP29 will try to find a way of financing, Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, the Chief Executive Officer of COP29 Azerbaijan, said at the 4th panel discussion of the 11th Global Baku Forum on "Fixing the Fractured World," Report informs.
He emphasized that civil society, state, and market forces should be properly assessed: "We are negotiating with organizations that have gained COP experience. As the host, we will listen to the proposals and try to manage the process."
