Bulent Aras: Islamophobia used for political manipulation

Islamophobia is today used as a tool of political manipulation, Bulent Aras, Professor of International Relations and Research Director at the Center for International Policy Research, said as he addressed the international conference themed “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”.

According to him, the conflicts existing in the world indicate that Islamophobia has become a slogan for certain political forces.

"The international system is in crisis. The world is moving from unipolarity to multipolarity. This means lack of control, chaos, confusion. All this is a dangerous prospect for the future. These threats must be prevented. We need to think in detail about what measures we can take against Islamophobia," said the professor.
