Azerbaijan to continue its support to African World Heritage Fund

Azerbaijan plans to continue its support to the African World Heritage Fund, Azerbaijan’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, Ambassador Elman Abdullayev said, Report informs.

Abdullayev made the announcement during the discussions of the item ‘Implementation of the Strategy for World Heritage in Africa” held within the framework of the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee.

“Considering the importance to safeguard the rich heritage of Africa, Azerbaijan financially contributed to African World Heritage Fund and we are planning to continue our support to African World Heritage Fund.

As a staunch supporter of Africa, Azerbaijan has always supported the initiatives of UNESCO regarding Priority Africa”, Abdullayev stated.
