ARTOC chief: Munich Conference - example of double standards policy

The Munich Security Conference is an example of the prevailing double standards in global politics, Shafik Gabr, Director of the Egyptian company ARTOC Group, said during a panel discussion at the 12th Global Baku Forum.

Report quotes him as saying in this world of double standards, there is no universal rule that can be applied to everyone.

"One of the clearest examples is the Munich Security Conference, where the stated goals did not match the actual discussions. Imagine this – all participants talked exclusively about weapons. This is the complete opposite of the declared purpose for which the conference was supposedly convened," he said.

Gabr further noted that Сhina was the only country whose representatives spoke about ceasefire and stability at the conference.
