Akjemal Durdyeva: Conference in Baku contributes to finding ways to ensure gender equality

The international conference on women’s empowerment in organized in Baku helps to find ways to ensure gender equality throughout the world, chairperson of the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, Akjemal Durdyeva, said, speaking at the conference, Report informs.

She noted that the main strategy of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan is to ensure the implementation of the gender equality policy.

“Continuing violence against women, unequal access to economic resources, all of these continue to hinder the achievement of goals,” she said.

Durdyeva also noted that by protecting women’s rights, countries will achieve significant socio-economic development.
