FIFA will announce The Best 2016 tonight

Baku. 9 January. REPORT.AZ/ FIFA will announce The best 2016 tonight.

Report informs, the ceremony will be held in Zurich, Switzerland.

The event will present fan award for the first time. Nominees are Dutch Den Haag supporters, Borussia Dortmund-Liverpool supporters and Iceland supporters. Winner will be identified by a group of experts consisting of former players - Zvonimir Boban, Marta, Gabriel Batistuta, English referee Howard Webb and Swiss coach Vladimir Petković.

Nominees for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach Award are English champion Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri, coach of EURO 2016 winner Portuguese national team Fernando Santos and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

All nominees for The Best FIFA Men's Player Award play at La Liga - Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi. Ronaldo and Messi have already won this title.

Jill Ellis, Silvia Neid and Pia Sundhage nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach Award.

The Best FIFA Women’s Player Award nominees are Melanie Behringer, Carli Lloyd and Marta.

The FIFA Puskás Award 2016 nominees are Brazilian Marlone, Venezuelan Daniuska Rodriguez and Malaysian Mohd Faiz Subri.

Alongside with these nominations, symbolic top 11 of the year and fair-play will be awarded.

American axtress Eva Longoria and speaker Marco Schreyl will host event to start at 21:30 Baku time.

Notably, the competition was combined with Ballon d'Or award, which has been presenting by France Football since 2009. But this year, the awards are presented separately.
