Baku. 27 September. REPORT.AZ/ The name of the country to host the UEFA Euro 2024 will be known today.

Report informs that the decision will be made after the UEFA Executive Committee's meeting in Nyon, Switzerland.

The president of the organization, Aleksander Ceferin will announce the name of the winner at a briefing, which will be held after 16:45 Baku time.

Two countries - Turkey and Germany bid for hosting the EURO-2024. These countries have already announced cities and stadiums for hosting European Championships.

Germany included Olympiastadion Berlin with the capacity of 70,033, Stadion Köln in Cologne (46,922), BVB Stadion, Dortmund (61,524), Düsseldorf Arena, Düsseldorf (46,264), Frankfurt Stadion, Frankfurt (48,057), Arena AufSchalke,Gelsenkirchen (49,471), Hamburg Arena, Hamburg (50,215), RB Arena, Leipzig (46,635), Fußball Arena München, Munich (66,026) and Arena Stuttgart, Stuttgart (50,998).

There are 10 arenas in 9 cities on the order book of Turkey: Ankara Stadium, Ankara (62,332), Antalya Stadium, Antalya (41,349), Bursa Stadium, Bursa (42,985), Eskişehir Stadium, Eskişehir (32,204), Gaziantep Stadium, Gaziantep (33,884), Istanbul Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul (85,718) and Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex, Istanbul (50,178), Kocaeli Stadium, Kocaeli (32,204), Konya Büyükşehir Belediye Stadium, Konya (36,193), Şenol Güneş Sports Complex, Trabzon (40,735).

Notably, EURO-2020 will be held in 12 cities of the continent - Baku (Azerbaijan), London (England), Munich (Germany), St. Petersburg (Russia), Rome (Italy), Copenhagen (Denmark), Bucharest (Romania) Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Dublin (Ireland), Bilbao (Spain), Budapest (Hungary) and Glasgow (Scotland).

Along with the A team's 3 games, one of the 1/4 final matches will be played at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
