Turkish lira hits historic low against USD

The Turkish lira reached a new historic low against the US dollar on Monday morning, breaking the psychological mark of 28 liras per dollar for the first time, Report informs.
The US dollar against the Turkish lira rose by 0.73% to 27.7425 liras per dollar from the previous closing of 27.5405 liras.
The Turkish currency has fallen in price every month since the beginning of the year, except for August. The biggest drop - by almost a quarter, to 26 liras from 20.8 liras per dollar - was recorded in June, while in July the figure already exceeded the level of 27 liras.
