Prestigious Currency News publishes article about 'upgraded' 100 manat

An article dedicated to Azerbaijan's redesigned 100 manat banknote has been published in the July issue of Currency News, a prominent publication covering the cash and currency sector.

According to Report, the article, titled "Azerbaijan's upgraded 100 manat: A national expression of economy and development", provides detailed information about the new banknote's design, concept and modern security features.

The publication notes that the main theme of the 100 manat banknote, developed under the concept of "Independent Azerbaijan", is "Economy and Development". The banknote's artistic design reflects Azerbaijan's economic development, technological progress and integration into the global economy.

The article also highlights the advanced security technologies incorporated into the redesigned banknote. It notes that modern security features have been introduced to strengthen protection against counterfeiting.

Rashad Mammadov, Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, told Currency News that the continuous improvement of the national currency is a key priority.

"The use of advanced security technologies and modern design solutions reflects our commitment to strengthening the contemporary visual identity of the redesigned 100 manat banknotes," Mammadov said.

The redesigned 100 manat banknote, featuring a new design and the latest internationally used security features, entered circulation on July 15, 2026. The updated banknote bears the signature of Central Bank of Azerbaijan Governor Taleh Kazimov.
