"According to the figures provided to me on July 1 this year, the external debt is 10.7 percent of the gross domestic product," President Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting dedicated to the results of the first six months of the year, according to Report.
"Countries with foreign debt of 70 percent of gross domestic product can feel normal. But in our case it is 10 percent. What does it mean? We do not allow debts to accumulate, we do not want future generations to be under this debt. We want to bring it down further and stretch our legs according to the coverlet," the head of state said.
