New general director appointed to Central Bank of Azerbaijan

Gular Azer gizi Pashayeva has been appointed the general director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Report informs, citing the bank, that the appointment has been made in line with the order of CBA Chairman Taleh Kazimov on July 20, 2022.

With this appointment, the number of the bank's general directors has been brought to seven.

Gular Pashayeva started her career in 2011 as a cashier at PASHA Bank OJSC.

In January-August 2012 she worked as an executive of the Bank's Corporate Documents Handling and Protocol Provision, in 2012-2013 as Legal Advisor at Legal Department.

Gular Pashayeva was also a head of the Corporate Secretary Division at the same division in 2013-2015, head of the Corporate Secretary Division at Chief Executive Officer Office in 2015-2021, head of the Corporate Governance and Administration Department in 2021-2022.

On June 1 of this year, Gular Pashayeva joined the CBA team and became an advisor to the chairman.
