Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks up by 6%

As of March 1, 2024, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 24,679.9 million manats (about $14.5 billion), Report informs, referring to Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA’s data, the current value is 0.5% higher than the previous month, 2.1% lower than the beginning of the year, and 5.9% higher than in the same period of last year.
By the end of February 2024, the net internal assets of the country’s banks stood at 20,082.7 million manats (about $11.8 billion), which is 1.3% less than the monthly comparison, 1.1% more than the beginning of the year, and 8.9% more than the annual comparison.
Overall, there 23 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
