Global unemployment may decline for first time in past three years

Baku. 23 January. REPORT.AZ/ The global unemployment rate in 2018 is expected to drop to 5.5% for the first time in past three years.
Report informs, the International Labor Organization (ILO) said.
According to the ILO report, last year 5.6% of the world's able-bodied population or 192.7 mln. people were unemployed. This is more by 2.6 mln. compared to 2016.
"As the number of people entering the labor market increases, total number of unemployed in 2018 will remain constant and will be over 192 mln people. The level of unemployment in 2019 will not change altogether, but will increase by 1.3 mln”, report says.
