FIMSA: Assets of insurance sector reach AZN 1.4B

As at the end of 2018, the share of insurance market in non-oil sector made up 1.9%, in financial sector – 2.9%, Acting chairman of the management board of the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) Ibrahim Alishov said at the Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum AIIF-2019 on the topic of "Insurance in Azerbaijan: Trends & Opportunities".

"Currently, the share of assets of the insurance sector in the assets of the financial sector is 3.1%. The assets of the insurers have increased by 64% to AZN 1.4 billion since establishment of the FIMSA," he said.
