CBA: Balance of payments surplus at $116M in 1Q24

The total surplus of Azerbaijan’s balance of payments in the first quarter of this year amounted to $116 million, Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
This is 29.8 times less than in the same period last year.
The quarterly surplus was formed due to a surplus in the country’s current account balance of $1.729 billion (48.8% less than a year ago), a capital account deficit of $0.7 million (a surplus a year ago), a financial account deficit of $1.594 billion (a year ago there was a surplus), a deficit in balance sheet items of $18.6 million (66 times less).
