CBA: Azerbaijan received most remittances from Russia in 1Q2024

Russia is still accounting for most of the money transferred to Azerbaijan from abroad, Samir Nasirov, director of the Statistics Department of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said at a briefing, Report informs.
"Nevertheless, compared to the same period last year, there is a decrease in the total amount of remittances from this country. This is due to the war with Ukraine," he said.
"In the first quarter of 2024, Russia ($155 million), Türkiye ($39 million), the US ($14 million), Georgia ($9 million) and the UK ($8 million) entered the top five,” Nasirov added.
