Capitalization of crypto-currency market falls by 35%

Baku. 16 January. REPORT.AZ/ Continuation of sharp sales of crypto-currency on global markets led to the fall in market capitalization to the minimum level of 2018.

Report informs, capitalization of crypto-currency market declined to $ 540 bln.

Notably, maximum capitalization of the crypto-currency market ($ 831 billion) reached a record high on January 8.Currently, the capitalization of the market is by 35% below this level. The price of Bitcoin has dropped by 15% to $ 11,500 today.Ethereum’s price dropped by 21%, Ripple by 30%.

Report informs, downturn in the crypto-currency was the government's tightening of control over the global crypto-currency market and news about market regulation.Depreciation of crypto-currencies by 10% is not ruled out.
