Biggest banks in Kazakhstan interested in opening branches in Azerbaijan

The largest banks in Kazakhstan are interested in opening branches in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Board of National Payment Corporation OJSC under the National Bank of Kazakhstan Binur Zhalenov told Report.

“We would also like Azerbaijani banks to enter the Kazakh market. But we have not received any official information,” Zhalenov added.

He noted the good level of cooperation between the central banks of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in various areas. “This also applies to the payment sector,” Zhalenov said.

Earlier, Bank Freedom Finance Kazakhstan, Halyk Bank and Turan Alem expressed interest in entering the Azerbaijani market.
