Azerbaijan shares data on state debt

As of April 1, 2025, Azerbaijan's state debt stood at approximately 26.629 billion manats ($15.664 billion), accounting for 6.6% of the country’s projected GDP for the year, Report informs, citing the country’s Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, this is 3.3% more compared to April 1, 2024.
This represents a 3.3% increase compared to the same date in 2024. Of the total debt, external debt amounted to 8.627 billion manats ($5.075 billion), marking an 11.1% decrease, while domestic debt reached 18.001 billion manats ($10.589 billion), reflecting a 9.7% increase year-on-year.
