Azerbaijan’s voting right in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) down nearly 3%

Azerbaijan’s share in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has gone down 0.0009 percentage point to 0.2627%.
Report says, citing AIIB, that this was due to the admission of seven countries for membership in 2019. These countries are Algeria, Belarus, Belgium, Ecuador, Greece, Guinea, and Serbia.
As many as 102 countries have applied to the bank for membership, with 76 receiving a positive response.
According to the information, Baku’s voting right in this bank dropped by 117 votes or 2.93%. Currently, Azerbaijan’s voting right is limited by 5,069 votes or 0.4376%.
Azerbaijan’s nominal participation share in the bank has remained unchanged at $254.1 million.
